Human bioresource is essential for the realization of precision medicine, which aims to provide personalized healthcare. Biobank is a principal infrastructure that is required for the development of health industry technology.

Catholic Medical Center (CMC) has established and assists in Catholic Central Biobank for the collection, management, and distribution of human bioresource, which is essential for medical and biotechnology research and development.

Catholic Central Biobank (CCB) operates under the Bioethics and Safety Act and utilizes them as high-value resources. CCB manages and supervises human bioresource branch banks of eight hospitals and special-purpose banks under CMC, and operates a standardized integrated management and certification system to provide high-quality resources to various researchers.

I hope that CCB could help various researchers of universities and institutions by providing human bioresource and related information that can be utilized for the R&D of the health industry technology.
