Catholic Central Biobank (CCB) the central organization for the integrated management of biobank under Catholic Medical Center (CMC) in order to realize a world-class biobank that respects life.

CCB supervises the Catholic Biobank Network (CBN), which consists of eight biobanks located in branch hospitals (Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital, Uijeongbu St. Mary’s Hospital, Bucheon St. Mary’s Hospital, Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Incheon St. Mary’s Hospital, and Daejeon St. Mary’s Hospital) operated under CMC. In order to cope with changes in the healthcare and medical field, CCB has consolidated the Catholic biobank infrastructure at a large scale.

CCB seeks to establish a standardized integrated management system for affiliated biobank branches in order to: ▶ collect high-value human bioresource; ▶ develop and disseminate standard operation protocol; ▶ establish high quality management system through “CMC Quality Certification”; ▶ promote the vitalization of health industry technology; ▶ and increase its cooperative efforts with related institutions. By achieving these goals, CCB hopes to play a pivotal role in the future of medicine and the development of health industry technology.
